The house
Haus Vira stands on a rise in the south of Zermatt, in the quiet district of Winkelmatten/Obere Tuftra. From the apartments you see the Matterhorn in all its size.
A garden surrounds the house. Trails toward Schwarzsee, Findeln and Gornergrat are within easy reach. In winter there is direct ski-in/ski-out access. The nearest bus stop is about 200 metres away.
Winkelmatten has four local restaurants. The edge of the village is quiet, away from the bustle of the village centre.
We live in Haus Vira ourselves. We are nearby during your stay and answer your questions.

Charming studio
breathtaking view of the Matterhorn
The studio was recently completely renovated. It is in a well-kept apartment building. From here you see the Matterhorn in its full size.
The living area has a sofa, a dining area and a kitchen with modern appliances. The south-facing balcony looks onto the Matterhorn and the garden. You have coffee there in the morning and watch the sun set over the Alps in the evening.
The bathroom has a washbasin with a stone basin and a shower. The flat sleeps 2 people. It suits couples and solo travellers.

From the south balcony you see the Matterhorn in its full size and the garden. From the west balcony you have a wide view of the western mountain range.

Evelyn and Emil were such a pleasure and their home was perfect for what we needed. Evelyn provided plenty of helpful resources and information, and even met us at check in with a box of chocolates and bottle of champagne. She was very responsive and kind! The views of the Matterhorn were unbelievable!
We had an amazing time here. The view of the Matterhorn is the best view we have ever seen from any accommodation. The flat is very modern, stylish, and pristinely clean. Evelyn was really friendly, and gave lots of good recommendations. Would highly recommend!
Great location with a perfect view of the Matterhorn. Studio was spacious with a nice balcony, upgraded kitchen and bathroom. And bus service within a couple of minutes walk. Hosts were super responsive and apartment is highly recommended.

Getting here
From Zermatt station take a taxi to Winkelmatten/Tuftra, to Haus Talismann at Moosstrasse/Obere Tuftra 1. Then turn left onto the path and walk about 30 metres toward the forest. The entrance to Haus Vira is on the left. We welcome you in person.
